Grazing Done Right!

Get set for the upcoming grazing season and learn some new techniques to incorporate on your own farm in this introductory workshop before “green up”. Learn how a forage stick can be the best tool in your toolbox of tricks of the trade! Manzini Farm’s Dr. Marco Turco will lead the discussion.Topics that will be up for discussion: Pasture Supply and Animal Needs, Feed Planning, Decision Making, Seasonal Consideration. Each of these will be broken down to lay the groundwork for the upcoming 2–day Advanced Workshop (TBA). Note: you are not required to attend the intensive 2-day Grazing Clinic. Forage sticks will be provided to registered class participants.  Bring a calculator, a list of your animals and weights if you have them, forage analysis results if you have them.
