Are you a new beekeeper? Are you interested, considering adding bees, or just curious about honeybees? Join us every Tuesday evening in April for presentations and informal discussion groups. The aim of this program is to give you the foundation to make informed decisions to save you time, money, frustration, and possible heartbreak, and also to become a successful beekeeper, whether you just want the benefits of having the bees for pollination in your garden and only want one or two hives, or you have aspirations of starting a small side business. You need to have the knowledge to be a beekeeper, not a bee-"haver". The days of putting bees into a wooden box and coming back in the fall to harvest honey are gone. Beekeepers need to be actively involved with their new hobby and constantly learn and keep track of the bees’ progress. Cost includes the book and a one-year membership to the Champlain Valley Beekeepers Association. Please contact Linda if you would like to talk about financial assistance for this program!
