The Cornell Cooperative Extension Agritourism Program Work Team, in partnership with the CCE Administration Program Work Teams Special Needs Fund, and Cornell Cooperative Extension of Essex and Clinton County, invites agritourism operations, agricultural service providers, and tourism promotion agencies to join them for an innovative, hands-on, and educational opportunity to grow the agritourism industry across the North Country & New York State.
Join us at Rulfs Orchard as we hear about how they started this agritourism operation and have grown it to an agritourism destination in the North Country. We'll take a tour of their facility, hear from the Regional Office of Sustainable Tourism (ROOST) and North Country Chamber of Commerce on how they support agritourism and how you can engage with your local tourism promotion authority, and close it out with a panel of agritourism operators from across the region highlighting their lessons learned, how they approach dealing with customers, and more.
Networking and making connections are key goals to this event so plenty of time will be available for networking once the formal program has concluded.
Please feel free to bring your marketing materials to share with the local tourism promotion authority staff and any other organizations attending who might be interested.
