Essex County's 2026 Agriculture Day Open House

Cornell Cooperative Extension and Essex County Soil and Water Conservation District are pleased to announce Essex County’s 2026 Agriculture Day Open House. The event will be held at the new Youth and Agriculture Building on June 25, 2026 from 3 PM to 6 PM at 6 Fairground Way, Westport, NY 12993.

The addition of the Youth and Agriculture Building at the Essex County Fairgrounds means both Essex County’s Soil and Water Conservation District and Cornell Cooperative Extension offices are back on-site.

The open house will allow attendees to walk through the building and meet with agricultural service providers, partner organizations and community members who collaborate with both SWCD and CCE Essex. There will be light refreshments offered, utilizing locally grown and produced foods from the Adirondacks and North Country region. This has been made possible by the Pearsall Foundation, and through CCE Essex’s Adirondack Harvest flagship program.

All are welcome and encouraged to attend. Parking is available in the Essex County Fairgrounds track, and accessible parking will be available at designated locations.

The public is welcome to stop by to see Essex County’s Soil & Water Conservation District or Cornell Cooperative Extension anytime to speak with them. Hours of operation for SWCD are from 7:30 AM to 4 PM, and for CCE Essex hours are from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
